Q.01What is a private Envoryx instance?

Envoryx is an open source platform for development and staging environments with a web interface. With Envbay you get your own instance of it, run for you in the EU, instead of installing and maintaining it yourself.

Q.02Why a fixed price instead of billing per minute?

So you can leave a staging environment running without watching the clock. Your plan has fixed limits for projects, users and storage; you pay the monthly price (or the 10-month annual price) and nothing more, unless you add add-ons.

Q.03How does the free trial (Free) work?

You order the Free plan for €0 in the shop. It runs for 7 days and can be extended once by another 7 days. Limits: 1 core, 1 GB RAM, 10 GB storage, 1 project; backups stay local, with no offsite copy and no project backups. One trial instance per account. With an upgrade to Starter, Team or Agency you keep all your data. Without an upgrade the instance is stopped when the trial ends and deleted with its data after 14 days. There is no availability entitlement during the trial.

Q.04How does the beta price work?

For the first 6 months you pay half the list price of your plan. After that the list price applies.

Q.05Is my instance shared with other customers?

No. Every customer gets a separate, isolated instance. Envoryx itself is not built to be shared between customers, so Envbay keeps them apart.

Q.06Which plan for large frontend builds?

Starter has 2 GB RAM: enough for Laravel, WordPress, Django or Rails with typical assets. Large Vite or webpack builds (think Monica or Invoice Ninja) and repositories of several gigabytes need more memory and belong on Team (4 GB) or above. You can switch plans at any time without recreating the instance.

Q.07How fast is the storage?

Storage is HDD-based with a RAM cache. The first installation of packages (npm, Composer, pip) is slower than on NVMe. Repeated installs and day-to-day work benefit from the cache.

Q.08Is there an availability guarantee?

Not during the beta. Envbay is meant for development and staging, not for production traffic. Status information is at status.envbay.com.

Q.09How do I get help?

Open a ticket. Support is provided in German and English on working days. Starter and Team have a response target of 1 working day, Agency of 4 hours on working days; during the Free trial we help by ticket without a response target. There is no phone support.
